Gyandeep Portal Launched
DPO SSA Ravi Kumar announced that the new Gyandeep Portal has been launched to facilitate free enrollment of children from poor families in private schools. The Education Department will oversee the enrollment process under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Registrations on the Gyandeep Portal will remain open until June 16. Online allocation of schools will take place on June 18 and 19, with the admission process, including student verification, scheduled from June 20 to June 30.

How to Select a School on the Bihar Gyandeep Portal
Parents or guardians applying online for school enrollment will have the opportunity to select a school after entering all required information. On the Bihar Gyandeep Portal, they can view all schools within their child’s block. During the application process, they can choose up to five schools in order of preference. Priority is given to children living within 1 kilometer of the school, followed by those living between 1 and 3 kilometers, and then those residing between 3 and 6 kilometers from the school.
If seats remain available after considering these preferences, other students from the same block may also be considered. After the online allocation, the schools and block education officers will verify the distance declared by the applicants. Final admission will be confirmed only after successful verification. Any incorrect declarations or misinformation provided by applicants at any stage of the process may result in the cancellation of their application.
